What does a membership at Coven Studios include?

All members benefit from exclusive use spaces, meaning that you will be the sole user of the desk or studio chosen for your membership, plus you will have unlimited access to all breakout areas for no extra charge, including the lounge, zoom room, green room and workshop. We also have two coffee machines, with coffee and tea included along with internet and utilities.   

How much is a Coven Studios membership?

Membership costs vary depending on the space you require. Please find our rates here.   

Do you offer hot-desking?

No, our studio and desk spaces are limited and our memberships are designed for 24/7 access and exclusive use only. 

Is the internet connection any good?

Our internet connection is 1GBPS with wifi coverage throughout the spaces.

Can I try a desk out for the day?

We can offer free desk trials for a limited period but not a full day - this is subject to availability. Please contact hello@covenstudios.uk for more information.

Is there somewhere to lock my bike?

Yes, there is bike parking across the road from us, you can find the parking pins on our map here. 

Can you receive mail and parcels?

We can receive letterbox friendly mail for you, however we do not have a reception therefore recommend arranging your parcels for collection at local post offices or parcel hubs. 

What are the opening hours?

All residents have 24 hour access. For non-resident access such as events, trials, meetings and photography sessions will be at prior agreed contractual times. 

How do I reserve the lounge, green room, zoom room or workshop?

We invite residents to use our free WhatsSpot portal to reserve breakout areas free of charge. Non-members looking to book any spaces at a guest rate can enquire via email hello@covenstudios.uk 

Can I please all my things out in my space? 

Every studio and desk space is exclusive use, meaning that you can do as you wish with your space, within membership contract guidelines. You may keep your belongings in your space, however we do encourage members to get their own contents insurance as our policy does not cover contents for individual members, only what belongs to Coven. 

Can I put things up on the wall of my studio space? 

Minor modifications to studio spaces such, as shelving and pinboards for example, are allowed but must be discussed and agreed with the Studio Director in advance. The studio spaces are expected to be restored to their original condition upon exit of contract. There may be a deduction from the deposit if there's anything left needing repaired or restored. 

Are there any places nearby for lunch or coffee?

We love supporting our neighbours and have an incredible choice of places to visit nearby for lunch and refreshments including Alby's, Bongou Cafe, Sketchy Beats and The Pastry Section - plus more just a 10 minute scenic walk along the Water of Leith to The Shore including Shore Deli, Toast and Relish. 

Do all memberships begin on the 1st of the month?

Yes, although if you want to join mid-month we can adjust the fee accordingly.

Are your memberships really month-to-month?

Our contracts are on a rolling one month basis. We require a full calendar month’s notice to end your contract.

I’m ready to sign up! What are my payment options?

Great, we will issue you with a contract and request that you set up a standing order for monthly payments on the 1st of each month. Your monthly invoice will be sent by email. 

Can I make an appointment for a tour of the studios?
